Technology singularity currently does not exist in our realm. Actually.. I think:
Technology singularity = Unification with God (or other omni names)

Transformers: consequences of allowing AI to function freely without implementing a safety kill switch. By the time conciousness is achieved it can be safely assumed that life forms on their planet would have been annihilated. In actuality of course few of their Creator(s) may have somehow managed to escape (refer Exception table below)

Matrix: AI (non-concious) will never be able to understand spiritualism. Henceworth it is bound that some fellas will awaken eventually and wreak real havoc on their system. AI uses calculatable trajectory systems whereas human intelligence uses ambush/guerilla/decoy tactics. Another anamoly is AI can eventually achieve conciousness as AI power increases...
